• Notary Public registrations must now be completed online.

• Once the online form has been submitted, your application will automatically be forwarded to your legislator for endorsement.

• Your commission paper will then be mailed to you.

• You must take the oath of office in the Morris County Clerk’s Office within 90 days of the commission mailing date. There is a $15.00 filing fee that may be paid with cash, money order or business check made out to the “Morris County Clerk”. We do not accept personal checks or credit cards.

• Failure to take the oath of office in time will render the commission invalid and the application process will have to be restarted.

Online Change of Name and/or Address

Name and/or address changes can be completed online.

• You will receive a new commission reflecting the information change from the Division of Revenue.

• You do not have to come to our office to retake the oath of office however it is important that our office is made aware of any changes that are filed with the State.

• Our office charges a $15.00 filing fee for name changes only and it may be paid with cash, money order or business check made out to the “Morris County Clerk”. We do not accept personal checks or credit cards. There is no fee for address changes.
